Can I book online?

No, at this time we only take reservations by telephone. Please call us at 518-668-5532 to discuss reservations and availability. It’s easy, we promise!

What forms of payment do you accept?

While we prefer cash or check, credit cards are also accepted. Please note that our prices are cash discounted. A 4% service charge is applied to all sales paid by credit card. Listed prices will be honored for customers paying by cash or bank-certified check. Personal checks can be accepted up to one month prior to arrival, but are not accepted at check-in. Pay by cash and save!

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM.

What is the cancellation policy?

Reservations canceled more than 3 months prior the arrival date will receive a full refund on any deposits paid. Reservations canceled 3 months or less to the arrival date are nonrefundable.

What toiletries and linens are provided in the cottages?

Each cottage is stocked with shower towels, washcloths, and floor mats for bathing, in addition to toilet paper, bar soap, and makeup removal wipes. Each bed is fully made with linens, and spare blankets, pillows, and a hair-dryer are located in the closet. Beach towels and toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body-wash/etc.) are not provided. Please plan to pack these items.

Do you have a firepit?

No, we do not have a firepit. Stepping Stones is a small facility and noise easily travels at night. As such, our property has a 9 PM quiet hour that is strictly enforced.

Can I smoke/vape inside the cottages?

Smoking and/or vaping are prohibited inside the cottages. We will provide cigarette cans for your use on your private porch. We ask that guests are respectful of other's space when smoking outdoors and use designated receptacles to dispose of used cigarettes/cigars/etc. Please do not litter.

Do you allow pets?

While we are animal lovers, pets are not allowed in cottages or on property.

Do you provide daily maid service?

Daily maid service is not available. Used towels can be exchanged at designated times during your stay. See the front office for more information.

I have friends that live locally. Can they come to visit?

Due to limited space and out of respect for other guests, Stepping Stones Resort is a private resort for registered guests only. Guests are not allowed unless registered first with the front office. Please note that our property is small and unregistered guests will not go unnoticed.

Do you host large events, such as weddings or family reunions?

At this time, we do not host large events. Groups are limited to three cabins per family in the same rental period.
